I gained a first-class honours Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and English Language with German from the University of Westminster in London (UK). During these studies, I gained advanced knowledge in linguistics, history of the English language, language change, semantics, syntax, and discourse analysis, as well as basic knowledge in phonology and phonetics. I also have various certifications in Forensic Linguistics where I specialise in authorship attribution in criminal cases.
I held various jobs as a proofreader and editor in London, New York, and now Los Angeles. One of the most interesting translation/editing projects was my collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery in London, where I proofread and edited the translation of their website and brochure in German.
I generally offer all types of proofreading and editing services, but I'm especially advanced in anything involving linguistics and languages in English or German.
I can proofread and edit in both English as German as I am a native speaker in both.
I am a freelancer, so I can usually take on new projects at any time. Please check for availability up front, though. Thank you!
