My career has focused on Translation, Latin American Literature, and Spanish Language in the US. I have published research papers in peer-reviewed journals in Mexico (Colegio de Michoacán and Tecnológico de Monterrey)  and USA (Arte Público Press). I have also published a chapter for the book "Translation in Language Teaching and Assessment."(Editors: Floros & Tsagari, Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2013.)

I have worked as a translator and proofreader for many years now. Mainly, I have collaborated in research papers related to my academic area, but the translation industry in the US has taken me to the Marketing and Petroleum industries as well. Therefore, I have worked with teams that use different terminologies and linguistic strategies.
